Community Liaison Officer (Internal / External) - Northern I Eastern (Contract Position)

The Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is British Non-Governmental Organization undertaking humanitarian mine action around the world. MAG is working to save lives and build futures in Sri Lanka by reducing the risk presented by remnants of conflict. MAG Sri Lanka is seeking applications from suitable Internal/External candidates to fill the above position immediately. Selected candidates will be deployed in MAG operations in the Northern / Eastern province and should be flexible in working all parts of the region according to operational working patterns. As part of MAG's commitment to safeguarding, this post is subject to background checks before an offer is confirmed.

Essential Skills & Requirements  Communication skills in English and Tamil is a must and Sinhala would be an advantage Able to liaise with local communities, civil society organizations and government agencies Should be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power point Ability in creating a good network among stake holders in the working area Previous N GO experience would be an added qualification Preferable given for candidates who are energetic and result oriented MAG operates on a 21-day rotational cycle. Salary will be based upon the MAG Salary Scale on a fixed term contract.
